Products & Coating Systems

What types of coatings and flooring systems does Sparco manufacture?

Sparco manufactures a broad range of industrial coatings and flooring systems, including solvent-free and water-based epoxy systems, polyurethane (PU) coatings and screeds, acrylic coatings, epoxy and solvent-based primers, repair mortars, conductive (ESD) flooring, sports-surface coatings and two-component automotive clear lacquers. You can browse the full range on the Products page, filtered by market segment, category and function.

What is the difference between an epoxy and a polyurethane (PU) floor system?

Broadly, epoxy systems are valued for hardness, mechanical strength and chemical resistance, which makes them well suited to heavy-duty industrial floors and containment areas. Polyurethane systems typically offer better abrasion resistance, flexibility and colour and gloss retention under UV, which suits exposed decks, topcoats and areas needing a durable decorative finish. Many Sparco floors combine both — an epoxy body coat with a PU topcoat. The right choice depends on your substrate, exposure and traffic; our team can advise on a suitable build-up.

Do you offer water-based, low-odour (low-VOC) systems?

Yes. Sparco produces a number of water-based systems — including the EcoTough Floor range, Sparcofloor WBE water-based epoxies, and the Sparcothane and Hybrid Urethane water-based polyurethane coatings — which are lower in odour and suited to occupied or sensitive environments such as schools, offices and retail spaces. Refer to each product's Technical Data Sheet for its specific characteristics.

What is an ESD / conductive floor, and when do I need one?

An electrostatic discharge (ESD) floor safely dissipates static charge, protecting sensitive electronic components and equipment. Sparco's ElectroShield SL 110 is a solvent-free, two-component conductive epoxy flooring developed for electronics manufacturing, assembly and clean production environments where static control is required.

Where can I download the Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for a product?

Every product page has its Technical Data Sheet available to download free of charge. Open the product from the Products page or the relevant Market Segment page and use the download button in the Technical Documents section. Technical data sheets are provided in English.

Choosing a System & Applications

Which industries and applications do Sparco's systems serve?

Sparco's systems are used across eleven market segments: Aerospace, Car Park, Chemical Processing, Education, Electronics, Food & Beverages, Manufacturing & Warehousing, Office, Retail, Sports and Automotive. Each Market Segment page explains the typical requirements of that sector and lists the Sparco products suited to it.

How do I choose the right floor coating for my facility?

The best starting point is your market segment page, which recommends suitable products for that environment. Selection depends on factors such as substrate condition, chemical and mechanical exposure, hygiene or static-control requirements, and turnaround constraints. If you are unsure, send us those details through the enquiry form — our technical team will recommend an appropriate system and build-up at no obligation.

What does a typical floor system build-up look like?

A typical industrial floor is built in layers: a primer to seal and bond to the substrate, a body or screed coat to build thickness and mechanical strength, and a topcoat for the finish, chemical resistance or UV stability. The exact combination is matched to the application — some floors use a single primer and topcoat, while heavy-duty areas use a full screed system. Market Segment pages show a suitable build-up where one applies.

Can Sparco systems be applied to new or damp concrete?

Some Sparco primers are formulated to be applied on dry or damp surfaces — for example the Epoxy Bonding Primer #100 and the water-based Sparcofloor WBE primers note suitability for damp substrates in their data sheets. Concrete should be adequately cured and correctly prepared. Because site conditions vary, confirm substrate suitability with our technical team before application.

Does Sparco provide technical support for contractors and specifiers?

Yes. Sparco has supported contractors, architects and manufacturers for more than 40 years. We provide Technical Data Sheets for every product, advice on system selection and build-up, and answers to application questions through our technical team. Contact us with your project details and we will assist.

Pricing, Samples & Ordering

How much does an epoxy or polyurethane floor system cost?

Cost depends on the system specified, the floor area, the condition of the substrate and the preparation required — so there is no single rate per square metre. As a manufacturer, Sparco can quote for the coating system matched to your application. Send us your floor area, the environment (for example car park, food production, warehouse) and any known substrate issues through the enquiry form, and we will respond with a recommendation and quotation.

How do I request a quotation, sample or technical advice?

Use the enquiry form on the Contact page. Including your market segment or product of interest, and a few details about your project, helps us respond with the most relevant information. You can also start an enquiry directly from any product page.

How quickly will I receive a response?

Our team aims to respond to enquiries within one to two business days, in English or Chinese.

Can Sparco supply outside Singapore?

Sparco is a Singapore-based manufacturer that also works with partners beyond Singapore, including through our ODM service. Supply arrangements depend on the product and destination, so please share your location and requirements in your enquiry and we will advise.

Alongside our own product range, Sparco is an established Original Design Manufacturer (ODM), developing bespoke paint and coating solutions for brands, distributors and industrial businesses — from concept and formulation through to production and quality assurance. See the ODM Manufacturing page for details.

What does the ODM process involve?
